In the San Francisco during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) Apple introduced the updated line of MacBook Air laptops and Mac Pro desktop.
MacBook Air
MacBook Air notebooks uses a more productive (in comparison to the previous generation) Intel processors of 4th generation built on the Haswell architecture. Laptop processors running at 1.3 GHz and thanks to Turbo Boost technology can increase the frequency up to 2.6 GHz. 13-inch model comes with optional Intel Core i7 processor at a frequency of 1.7 GHz with the ability to increase to 3.3 GHz.
Intel HD Graphics 5000 delivers up to 40% more performance in games and complex graphics applications.
With the new platform laptops run longer - an 11-inch MacBook Air works up to 9 hours (it used to be 5), and a13-inch - up to 12 hours (instead of 7).
RAM in the new MacBook Air will 4GB (optional 8GB for a 13-inch model).
MacBook Air is available with internal memory of 128 or 256 GB (optional 512 GB for a 13-inch model). 11-inch laptop will cost 999 dollars or 1,199 dollars for the version with 128 and 256 GB, 13-inch - 1,099 and $ 1,299 respectively. New type flash memory is 45% faster than the previous and 9 times faster than conventional hard disks.
MacBook Air supports the new WiFi 802.11ac standard , which provides a high-speed connection in the presence of a base station of the standard. The notebook is equipped with two microphones, FullHD-web-cam, high-speed Thunderbolt port and two-port USB 3.0.
The new MacBook will go on sale in the U.S. and certain other countries today, June 11.
MacBook Pro
Desktop Mac Pro has got not only the updated filling, but also a new design. The device has become 8 times more compact. Furthermore, it is pointed that the device is assembled in the USA.
The heart of the computer is a powerful 12-core 256-bit Intel Xeon processor. Internal memory type is DDR3, the computer runs at 1866 MHz and has a bandwidth of 60 Gbit /s. SSD-drive operates at a speed of 1.25 Gbit / s to read the 1 Gbit / s for recording.
Also two video cards AMD FirePro are installed. The Mac Pro has a support for display with a resolution of 4K. The computer is equipped with six high-speed Thunderbolt 2.0 ports and four USB 3.0.
The exact launch date and price are not disclosed, it is expected to go on the shelves by the end of the year.
