Apple is proud to announce that over the first weekend of iPhone5S and iPhone 5C sales it beat another sales record - it has sold 9,000,000 copies of 5S and 5C. How many smartphones are sold separately is not reported.
For comparison, last year over the first weekend of iPhone 5 sales Apple sold 5 million copies.
Newly released operating system iOS 7 is already installed on 200 million devices thus it has set another record for the fastest updating OS in history. An update was on September 18, just before the launch of iPhone sales.
