The official Android OS website has a new announcement of the new version of Android 4.4 KitKat and with a new version of the logo " built" from chocolate bars.
The page tells a brief history of the OS starting from 1.5 version. For version 4.4, the description says "It's our goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody". The information about the distinctive features of the new version is not given .
Earlier, analysts could guess the exact names of the Android incoming versions ( thanks to leaks, internal sources or open hints). It was assumed that the version 4.2, following a 4.1 Jelly Beans, will be called Key Lime Pie, however the Android developers remained Jelly Bean name for it and for the next 4.3 version. After version 4.3, 5.0 as expected as some analysts spoke of "stagnation " in the development of the operating system and about the necessity of more significant changes, and hence the next "major" version numbers .
Also on the site they say about the advertising campaign: "Look for specially branded KitKat bars in a store near you that give you a chance to win a Nexus 7 or Google Play credit ".

In September 1935 at the Rowntree's factory in York, United Kingdo, first introduced the product with a name Rowntree's Chocolate Crisp, two years later renamed the KitKat Chocolate Crisp.
