Twitter Began Testing New UI

Twitter has begun testing a new user interface. The updates of Twitter profiles were first noticed  by Mashable editor Matt Petronzio. The reporter found that his avatar and the "About Me " moved to the left side of the page, and tweets and subscribers statistics added counter of uploaded photos and videos.

Major changes, however, touched the central element of the user page - ribbon tweets. Instead of the usual vertical block with running chronologically tweets tape, now it consisted of "tiles" of varying heights and widths with the text placed inside. It makes it similar to other social networking interfaces - Facebook or Google+.

It is sill unknown how many people have already got the new interface. Twitter representatives haven't given any official comments yet.
